Just like any innovation, it needs its technical base, the same is true of artificial intelligence. It is therefore not surprising that over the last few years, based on frequent media reports, we have created an image of pioneers in this sector, known to almost everyone.

Of course, we are talking about OpenAI, Microsoft and NVIDIA, which from 2022 are almost identified with the development of AI and the opportunities that await humanity if all these corporations achieve their goals. Interestingly, of these three brands, only one of them has a real technological background and that is the third company.

Jensen Huang is quite eager to share his visions of the future and recently presented an extensive vision of his company and artificial intelligence. The issues discussed were challenges, solutions, building an advantage and what AI may become in a few years. There is a bit of this, but the American manufacturer has a specific plan for it.

NVIDIA has a solid quarter and Jensen Huang remains confident

During a meeting with investors, Jensen Huang was asked about NVIDIA’s approach to new methods of training AI models. It is mainly about a new method, the so-called test time scaling, which assumes obtaining better answers if the model receives more time and computing power. The businessman emphasized that traditional CPUs have reached their development limits due to limitations imposed by the laws of physics.

Nvidia focused on accelerated processing using the GPU, which allows processing more complex data in a shorter time. At the same time, he admitted that NVIDIA was prepared for such a change, which was obviously intended to reassure investors.

On this occasion, the issue of a certain change that may occur in the design of new versions of language models was raised. The point is to shift the emphasis from model training to inference. Currently, most of the computation and workloads associated with it focus on pre-training rather than inference. Here, Huang stated that NVIDIA is already ready for a scenario in which this pivot will be necessary.

At the same time, he claims that the chips produced by his company will be able to bring the expected innovations to the market better and faster than anyone else. This could be considered idle boasting, but ultimately it is this tech giant that is leading the way in providing and distributing new technologies.

NVIDIA with ambitious plans for further development

Such assurances correspond very well with the results of the company itself, which achieved revenue of USD 35.1 billion last quarter. So we’re talking about an annual growth of 94%. So this is something that many technology giants can envy.

In a summary of the latest quarterly results, Huang said that “the era of artificial intelligence is gaining momentum” and NVIDIA is one of the faces of this process. Therefore, the company expects revenue of $37.5 billion for the fourth quarter while maintaining GAAP and non-GAAP margins of 73% and 73.5%.

The plans and assumptions are ambitious, but who, if not a company on a huge wave, will be able to achieve it? Well, all we have to do is wait, observe and invest, because further moves may bring even more profits.
