Will AI browse the internet for us? Google apparently has very ambitious plans

As artificial intelligence develops and the demand for everything related to it grows, many companies are trying to push the boundaries of what these models can do. Even on this website, we often write about Big Tech’s plans, which currently sound like complete fiction, but in a few years may become our everyday reality.

All these ideas mainly assume that artificial intelligence will help humans in their daily work and responsibilities. According to some big players, it is supposed to be a kind of employee for whom people will be their superiors. What if such AI also helped us with more mundane tasks?

Apparently, Google has plans to make sure that when we use the Internet… we practically don’t use it at all. Everything would be done for us by their latest technology based – of course – on artificial intelligence.

Jarvis, an AI assistant straight from Google

Google

As a result of a complete accident, Google recently revealed a completely new plug-in that appeared in the Chrome Web Store. We are talking specifically about Jarvis, a special AI assistant that was available for download for several hours, although it could not be used at all. What is this helper?

According to the description that appeared in the mentioned store, it is a “helpful companion” that browses the web with us. Jarvis was created and developed in such a way as to “take control” of the web browser. Interestingly, it is intended to be our helper both during everyday activities and more advanced tasks.

Its operation is based on capturing screenshots of our computer and analyzing what is on it. Thanks to this interpretation, the new AI assistant will know what to type, which option to select or which website to visit to find the most important information.

AI assistants as the basis for using the Internet?

Will AI browse the internet for us? Google apparently has very ambitious plans

As we mentioned, Jarvis was presented to the world a bit too early and against Google’s plans. According to behind-the-scenes news, the official reveal of the new assistant would take place during the presentation of new versions of Gemini models.

Will this actually happen? Demand for the so-called autonomous agents that use AI could actually be quite large. After all, it seems to be a big help in everyday life and during many tasks.

Of course, this could revolutionize the way we interact with content on the internet. Better ability to research sources, the option to absorb condensed information pills, the best offers… these are just the tip of the iceberg.

So we have to wait not only for Jarvis, but also other news that Big Tech is preparing for us. However, the question remains how we will approach such news.
